I have had a natural affinity for making accessories since childhood.
How would you describe your practice/business?
Mirro was born out of a need to see the accessories that we want to wear: sustainable, sentimental and bespoke. We are drawn to rare finds and upcycling objects. Our pieces are made of secondhand charms, vintage pendants and natural shells from local trips mixed with new beads, local glasswork and freshwater pearls. Mirro is the modern-day anting-anting, or charms in Tagalog.
What are the highlight projects in your career so far?
I do not have a specific project in mind but I am glad to have been able to work with a variety of materials like glass, metals, clay, fabric, acrylic, shell and found objects. This informs and cultivates my work.
What are you currently working on?
We are working on original pieces made of natural materials and designing glass pieces.
