What are your first names?
Ines and Tami.

Jakarta, Indonesia.

Jakarta, Indonesia.
What is your educational background?
We graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design from Northumbria University, United Kingdom.
What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?
Both Tami and I come from graphic design backgrounds, and we each run our own studios — mine centred on identity and branding, and hers on packaging. Our creative partnership started back in college in the U.K., where we took the same major. Over time, working together on various projects showed us that our contrasting styles and personalities actually complement each other seamlessly.
How would you describe your practice/business?
SAYA is an independent fashion label designed for a life between urban rhythm and island living. We celebrate all forms of femininity through collections that inspire self-expression. We reimagine classic wardrobe staples by playing with silhouettes, raw finishes and unexpected fabrics that move seamlessly from island ease to city life.Inspired by women and made for women, SAYA is more than just effortless apparel — it is an ongoing story of self-discovery and getting in touch with oneself, wherever life takes you.
What are the highlight projects in your career so far?
A major highlight was taking SAYA to Jakarta Fashion Week for our runway debut and winning the Fashion Force Award. Most recently, we brought SAYA to Bali for the first time, launching our new collection at Dome, Potato Head.
What are you currently working on?
We are always looking for ways to bring the brand into fresh and new territory.
