Masou Atelier, Fassbender & Mellon Collie, Palengke, OBJoff and more

In Jakarta, Indonesian label Masou Atelier debuts a new collection that deepens its ongoing material exploration. Singapore-based Fassbender & Mellon Collie opened its first studio space as an extension of the streetwear brand’s layered approach to storytelling.

Over in Kuala Lumpur, KL Fashion Week readies a lineup of Malaysian designers including Kit Woo, Ugly Pretty and Mokjy. From the Philippines, Palengke introduces a new modular shoe drop that reimagines everyday traditions with playful structure, and Munimuni Studio marks its seventh anniversary with a pop-up in New York City.

Meanwhile in Hanoi, creative platform OBJoff collaborates with local label SO YOUNG to host a four-day pop-up featuring independent Vietnamese brands such as Moi Dien and KIMTR, offering a snapshot of Vietnam’s fast-evolving fashion landscape.

‘Palimpsest’ Collection

Founded by Indonesian designer Eldyra Taya in London, Masou Atelier is a womenswear label rooted in a sensitivity to texture and sculptural forms. A graduate of London College of Fashion and an alumnus of notable fashion house Chalayan, Taya brings a thoughtful, cross-cultural sensibility to her work. Since launching in 2019, the brand has become recognised for its distinctive approach to volume and material exploration, often drawing on themes of memory and transformation. Its latest collection, ‘Palimpsest’, presents silhouettes shaped through draping, smocking, ruching, and sculptural knots, each piece designed to softly collapse and move fluidly with the body.

Fassbender & Mellon Collie is a Singapore-based streetwear label known for its raw, expressive aesthetic. Founded by Ethan Lee, the brand rose out of the city’s underground creative scene with a strong DIY spirit, producing one-of-a-kind pieces through techniques like ice-dyeing, hand-bleaching, and custom distressing. Initially operating through Instagram drops and word-of-mouth, the label gained wider recognition earlier this year when it was stocked at Dover Street Market. Most recently, it opened its first brick-and-mortar space at 195 Pearl's Hill Terrace, inviting customers to experience the studio by appointment.

‘Kwatro Kantos’ Shoe Launch

Palengke is a Philippines-based label crafting objects that blend nostalgia, utility, and playful design. Drawing from everyday Filipino culture, the brand is best known for pieces like the cube-shaped Balikbayan bag inspired by traditional packaging, and the Bato’t Balat, a sculptural pendant that can be styled as a necklace, belt, or object of adornment. Continuing the brand’s exploration of craft and reimagined culture, Palengke introduces the ‘Kwatro Kantos’ shoe, featuring a square-toed silhouette with a curved wooden heel and perforated leather upper that invites customisation with brooches and interchangeable straps.

NYC Pop Up

Munimuni Studio is a Manila-based label rooted in slow design and tactile storytelling. Founded by Lara Rapanan, the studio works with handwoven materials and natural dyes, producing each piece in small batches through close collaboration with artisanal and indigenous communities. To mark its seventh anniversary last month, Munimuni held a pop-up event in New York City, showcasing a selection of its collections. Among them was ‘Aliwána’, a meditation on themes of becoming and gentle expansion, expressed through silhouettes like a ruched crop top and a versatile tie top, both crafted from deadstock fabrics and naturally dyed textiles.
