What is your educational background?

I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?

When I was a student, we were tasked to make  plates using fabric. This sparked an interest in creating soft sculptures. The inclination towards puns, however, comes naturally as it runs in the family.

How would you describe your practice/business?

My creative practice explores different media that would best convey my ideas. For Kamias Bayabas, this means exploring fabric as a material to illustrate ideas through wearable objects. I believe in the power of colour, texture, form,and puns to inspire positive energy.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

Kamias Bayabas was founded in 2026, so it is still young. Its highlight project so far would be the pilot release of the Puso ng Saging or banana blossom carrier in its natural colourway.

What are you currently working on?

I have been conceptualising ideas and forms that would translate the idea of the fun and absurd into wearable objects.
