Studio Collection 2026: ‘Heart of Salvatora’

Stella Rissa’s Studio 2026 collection, ‘The Heart of Salvatora’, was unveiled at the historic 19th-century AA Maramis building, channeling the grace and strength of a horse to reflect the duality of modern femininity. Across 36 looks, the collection blended structured tweed, satin duchess, sheer chiffon, and latex in semi-fitted tailoring and voluminous silhouettes that highlight the female form. A recurring motif is the bleeding heart plant, whose shape and symbolism thread through the collection’s accessories. Created in collaboration with Jogja-based artisanal jewelry brand Mahija, the custom pieces—blade-like earrings, floral brooches, and sculptural silver links—captured the same contrast of vulnerability and edge woven throughout the collection.

‘Luminescence’ Collection

After a seven-year hiatus, Indonesian couturier Eddy Betty makes a striking return to the runway with ‘Luminescence’, a 77-look collection that channels the shifting light and stillness of the ocean. Long celebrated for his craft and precision in corsetry, Betty pushes his practice further, exploring with materials through reflective fabrics, bold textures, and experimental forms that catch the light with every movement. The collection also sharpens tradition into modern form, reshaping the classic kebaya into striking, sculptural silhouettes that presents Indonesia’s tradition and heritage in a modern design language.

TNFS
‘Off The Roll’ Collection

‘Off The Roll’ is the debut collection by TNFS, a newly launched retail label transforming deadstock and leftover fabrics into ready-to-wear garments. Rooted in circular design and local collaboration, TNFS was founded by The New Factory, a community-led start-up initiated in 2023 by garment workers in Bandung. ‘Off The Roll’ reimagines discarded textile ends, often considered unusable, by embracing the challenges of mismatched colours, irregular textures, and limited quantities. Each piece reflects thoughtful design shaped by material constraints. The fabrics for the collection were sourced from Cigondewah, a neighbourhood known for its second-hand textile markets. Here, tailors, vendors, artisans, and waste workers form a vibrant ecosystem that extends the life of materials and supports a slower, locally-driven approach to fashion.
