Harris Rahmat Fauzi

Harris Rahmat Fauzi

What is your full name?

Harris Rahmat Fauzi.

What is your first name?

Harris.

Where were you born?

Jakarta, Indonesia.

Where do you currently reside and work?

Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia.

What is your educational background?

I obtained a Bachelor of Communication (Hons) at the Universiti Utara Malaysia.

What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?

My current work comes from a blend of experience across e-commerce, publications, retail, and brand experience. I started in e-commerce and publications, where I learned how to curate and shape narratives for an audience. I then moved into retail through pop-ups, gaining a direct understanding of customer behaviour and how people connect with products in real life.

Over time, I worked with several local brands, focusing on storytelling, marketing, and overall brand development. Alongside that, I have explored styling and campaign work, whilst also building LAWÉ Atelier as my ready-to-wear and footwear brand, and organising pop-up events. These experiences continue to shape how I approach storytelling, product, and community today.

How would you describe your practice/business?

I would describe my practice as a balance between strategy and intuition. I am driven by curiosity and a need to understand how people think, feel, and engage, whilst keeping the process honest and grounded. Whether through product, campaigns, or community-led projects, I aim to create work that feels thoughtful and relevant. It is less about perfection and more about clarity and connection.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

One of the key highlights in my career so far has been launching LAWÉ Atelier, particularly the Pre-Fall and Spring/Summer 2026 collections, which were self-funded. It was a significant milestone, reflecting both independence and a strong belief in building something from the ground up.

Another highlight was collaborating with Farid Renais, a homegrown talent whose work was recently featured in a PhotoVogue exhibition, to develop a campaign for the brand. It was a meaningful experience to work with someone whose visual perspective aligns with the direction of LAWÉ Atelier. These projects represent an important phase in my journey, where I have been able to bring together product, storytelling, and collaboration in a more intentional way.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently focused on developing LAWÉ Atelier alongside building my creative studio. I am working on a collaboration collection with another rising local brand, which I am very excited about. We recently held a pop-up at ROW 9 in Jakarta, which brought together a great mix of creatives and community.

On the studio side, one of the highlights has been working with Emina on their latest product launches. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue expanding both the brand and the studio through more collaborative and community-driven projects.
