I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Fashion Merchandising from LaSalle College Jakarta.

What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?

I worked as an account executive at Clara Indonesia. Now I am continuing my career as a fashion entrepreneur. It has been six years, and I am working on my second business, UNNY MKABAU, an artisanal boutique where we collaborate with West Sumatran artisans.

How would you describe your practice/business?

UNNY MKABAU is an artisanal boutique where heritage art is discovered and encouraged through female empowerment across the West Sumatra Island in Indonesia. As we continue to preserve tradition, we want people to acknowledge the significance of West Sumatran textile products on a larger scale, from different historical and philosophical perspectives.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

I am proud of my capsule collection of eight looks, ‘Balang Manarangi’, showcased at Indonesia Fashion Week 2025.

Most of the collection was inspired by endangered Sumatran tigers and tigresses. We donated 10% of the proceeds to Jejak Harima, a Sumatran tiger conservation.

What are you currently working on?

I am working on an upcoming collection for Mother’s Day. It is a personal collection, since it falls on the same day as my late grandmother’s birthday.
