What is your educational background?

I graduated with an MA in Fashion Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium.

What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?

After I graduated from the MA programme in 2016, I took a Footwear Patternmaking and Prototyping course at Arsutoria School in Milan, Italy, to learn more about shoe-making and design.

In 2017, I was invited to present a solo exhibition at MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I presented works created during my studies in Antwerp, showcasing the collections as well as my work process and material inspirations. This exhibition served as an introduction to my label SHONE PUIPIA, which was launched in Bangkok in 2018.

How would you describe your practice/business?

SHONE PUIPIA offers a unique view of the uncompromising beauty of contemporary clothing, standing at the crossroads of fashion and art. The collections’ vivid narratives illustrate a world that is delicate yet bold and complex. Designs that encompass clothing, shoes, and accessories are meticulously crafted with a focus on sophisticated silhouettes, distinct colour combinations and fabrication. The studio works on a by-appointment basis, and seasonless collections are produced made to order.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

In 2023 and 2024, we designed the staff uniforms for The Standard Singapore. This was the first uniform project we ever did.

Then on June 26-28, 2025, we had our first Paris presentation, Hands Reshape at Galerie Marguo. This year, we also dressed the Manneken Pis, a landmark sculpture in Brussels, in a specially-designed costume made with Thai textiles.

What are you currently working on?

We are currently working on a new collection for the coming year. A new knitwear line I am very excited about is also in the works.  And I would love to present a runway show again soon!
