Ann Jenelle Burgos Natividad

What is your full name?

Ann Jenelle Burgos Natividad.

What is your first name?

Nati.

Where were you born?

Calamba, Philippines.

Where do you currently reside and work?

Calamba, Philippines.

What is your educational background?

I obtained a Bachelor of Multimedia Arts, with a specialisation in Graphic Design, from National University – Laguna.

What are other details of experiences, work or otherwise, that have led you to your current work?

My background in multimedia arts has allowed me to explore different areas of visual communication, from branding and identity design to fashion styling, art direction, digital content and video. Through academic projects, I worked on fashion-related concepts and visual storytelling, including developing the visual identity and art direction for an upcycled clothing brand. I also gained professional experience through my internship, where I worked on branded social media content and video production. These experiences helped me realise my interest in how fashion can be communicated not just through clothing, but through imagery, styling, branding and storytelling. My current work continues to explore the intersection of these disciplines and how visual design can shape the way fashion and culture are presented.

How would you describe your practice/business?

I am a multimedia arts graduate specialising in graphic design, with a practice centred on visual storytelling, branding and art direction. I work across graphic design, visual identity, fashion-related visuals, digital content and video. My approach combines concept development with strong visual systems to create work that feels intentional, expressive and culturally relevant. I am particularly interested in exploring the relationship between fashion, identity and contemporary Filipino visual culture.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

Arapilak is a sustainable fashion project exploring conscious consumerism and upcycled clothing within an everyday Filipino context. I worked on the art direction, concept development, visual identity, logo design and fashion styling. The project presented upcycled fashion through familiar Filipino environments and everyday experiences, using natural forms, expressive imagery and a bright visual language.

During my internship at TRND Marketing, I contributed to the media production for Sony’s 1000X The Collexion, a multi-sensory event celebrating the tenth anniversary of the 1000X audio series and the launch of the WH-1000XM5 headphones. The event featured a ballet-led product unveiling, a runway show styled by designer Gian Romano and a panel discussion with figures from the creative industry. I produced short-form video content capturing the event and its different visual moments, which gave me experience in creating branded content within a live, fashion- and culture-focused environment.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently in a period of exploring where I want to take my creative practice next. I have been building my portfolio and looking into opportunities where I can work across fashion, visual storytelling, branding and art direction. I am especially excited to see where collaborations and new projects might take me as I continue to develop my own creative perspective.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

As someone early in my career, I am interested in learning through different creative environments and collaborations. I am open to exploring new areas of the industry and seeing where my practice develops naturally.
