Rheza Paleva is the founder and creative director of ISSHU, a Jakarta-based accessories label. The brand works across handcrafted bags, jewellery and ready-to-wear. Handmade from materials including glass beads and macramé, the bags in particular are built around a considered use of colour and an interest in unconventional form.
In this edition of A Day in the Life, he shares a glimpse into the creative world of ISSHU, from the making of new pieces in his long-awaited studio to the electric energy of the runway at Jakarta Fashion Week 2026.

This is the latest addition to ISSHU, the Tube Bag. We designed it with a distinctive round handle and handcrafted from colorful beads. For me, it is a statement piece that reimagines the classic tube silhouette with a playful yet sophisticated touch.

This is our most beloved handmade beaded bag, the Ball Bag. This time, we reimagined it in a striking red marble colour. Originally introduced in 2022 as part of our Techno Collection in silver, this signature piece has become a timeless favorite. For this season, we reimagined it in a new colorway to add a vibrant pop of colour.

After three years, we finally have a studio of our own. This is the space where ideas come to life: a place where we imagine, create, and bring exciting new possibilities into the world.
