Through the Grapevine: April 2026
45 Bayani, Fortune WWD, LU’U DAN, and more
April’s Through the Grapevine turns its attention to material-led design and an emphasis on tactility and craft across Southeast Asia.
In the Philippines, 45 Bayani launches its residency programme, featuring local practitioners including bodyspaceobject, Ancán, JOS Mundo, Prior Matter, Nooke and artbooks.ph. Also from Manila, Fortune WWD introduces its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, where layered fabrics, tactile finishes and muted palettes articulate a utilitarian everyday uniform.
In Thailand, Lofteyes relocates its Siam store, expanding its role as a design-led retail platform in the city’s creative core. In London, Vietnamese label LU’U DAN presents ‘No Man’s Land,’ continuing its exploration of proportion, tension and urban tailoring. And in Indonesia, Stuudio Particular introduces its Perennial collection, where sculptural jewellery is shaped through stone, tactility and organic form.
Through the Grapevine is a monthly round-up of fashion events across Southeast Asia, from collection launches to exhibitions, showcases, pop-ups, and more.

Residency Program: Edition 1
Time as Material
45 Bayani by Carl Jan Cruz extends beyond an atelier into a living archive and space for exploring modern Filipino identity. Its new residency programme transforms the studio into a shared sanctuary for local practitioners, bringing together a rotating collective united by intentional craftsmanship. For Edition 1, which focuses on the idea of time as material, brands include Ancán’s quietly sculptural objects, archive pieces sourced bodyspaceobject and Prior Matter, Jos Mundo’s handcrafted footwear, Nooke’s whimsy furniture and artbooks.ph’s curatorial approach to printed matter.
Fortune WWD
Spring/Summer 2026 Collection
Fortune WWD reframes menswear through a disciplined, utilitarian lens. Spring/Summer 2026 sees the label—the first Filipino brand stocked at London’s multi-brand concept store Goodhood—exploring texture as a primary language. Fabrics are layered, treated and stitched to invite touch, from subtly puckered surfaces to panels that juxtapose soft and structured weaves. Loose, adaptable silhouettes respond to movement, continuing the brand’s ongoing exploration of personal uniform for the contemporary, everyday wardrobe.

LU'U DAN
Spring/Summer 2026 Collection: ‘No Man’s Land’
LU’U DAN is the ready-to-wear label by London-based designer Hung La, whose formative years working under the likes of Phoebe Philo and Nicolas Ghesquière inform a sharp, narrative-led approach to construction and silhouette. Translating its name from a Vietnamese expression meaning “dangerous man,” the brand channels a controlled sense of tension through oversized tailoring, assertive proportions and a distinctly urban sensibility. Their latest collection, ‘No Man’s Land’ sharpens this duality: lowline trousers, boxy tees, relaxed shirting and deep stain jeans play with proportion and movement, creating a wardrobe that is both bold and effortlessly lived in.
